Meet Abi

 I have been a personal fitness trainer  since graduating from the Australian Institute of Fitness in 2013. I have continued to further my skill set with additional training focused on different client needs and desires. My client list is diverse and ranges in age from teens to people in their 60s. I've trained people with almost every injury you can imagine and conditions like diabetes, MS, depression and anxiety... you name it! Few of them realised just how much a good personal trainer can assist them  in improving their fitness and overall sense of health and well being.  I am passionate about personal fitness and how i can help you achieve your fitness and health goals in the future. I absolutely love what i do and inject great enthusiasm into personal training sessions. I became a personal trainer to spread the word of health and fitness everywhere and with everyone I meet. I am here to help you and educate and guide you with my knowledge and passion. I cannot wait to meet YOU. 

Qualifications

Primary qualifications:

  • Certificates III and IV in fitness for the Austrailan Institute of Fitness

  • Accredited ViPR trainer

  • Sports specific training coach

  • Functional core training 

  • Reviva first aid

A range of additional specialist certifications including:

  • TRX

  • Boxing (Punchfit)

  • Bootcamp and outdoor group training instructor

  • Speed and agility training

  • Designing weight loss programs

  • Aqua fitness instructor

Group Training

I make sure you train your body, not drain your body, so when you train at Wellbeing by Abi, you'll be getting hands-on love and support from me. I provide my clients with the perfect opportunity to enjoy a great training atmosphere that keeps you coming back for more. In group training we will work together with between four to eight people which means you can still get the personal attention you need without the group being too large.

My main objective here is to make sure that these sessions are fun, varied and challenging, within your range of physical ability, which I will assess as we go along together. I know from experience that once you begin group training you will really start to look forward to each session.

Private coaching

This is for those individuals looking to take their training to the next level. These are one on one coaching sessions with me. I will assess your fitness level at the beginning, discuss your goals and design a program guaranteed to deliver results. I pride myself on making these sessions varied and fun. 
*Private coaching is by appointment only.

Mums and Bubs

These are outdoor group, post-natal, exercise classes for new Mums with babies aged 6 weeks to 12 months. 

 

The sessions combine cardio circuits, resistance-based work and a variety of exercises to help you regain your core strength. 

Every session is different so you'll never get bored.

 

In  these sessions you bring your baby with you and we work around their needs and yours while you train. Sometimes they might be asleep in the pram and at other times they might actually become part of the action  and you'll be holding your baby while doing squats instead of a dumbbell. I know it's not easy being mum to a new baby but I make sure you get the training you need while your baby is present throughout the session. It takes patience but together we'll work it out so that you still get to complete a really worthwhile training session. As a group of women we all help each other out.

I have known Abi as a trainer for about 4 years and have been training with her regularly for 2 years. I would highly recommend Abi as a PT! 
The things I like about her the most are that she really knows her theory on functional training (ie how to do things properly and not get injured) and she knows how to get the most out of you.
So at the end of the day you are getting high quality planned PT sessions with the best chance at results.
She seems to have a lot of functional training equipment and a huge bank of exercises to match. Every training session is different, flexible and very fun!
